Last weekend my cousin Mario had a great adventure idea, to go see the Overly’s Country Christmas lights since the weather was warm, for the time of the year. Mario wasn’t the only person in the area to have that great idea because I have never seen soo many cars in line at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds for the annual display.  Our family has made going to see the lights a Christmas tradition. I can remember seeing the lights displayed in the late 80′s at Harry Overly’s home.  The fairgrounds has been its home since 1993.  With all the years we have visited the display I have never been the one to “drive” thru the display. Since there were so many cars we were stopped a lot along the driving tour where I took these photos behind the wheel. (with the car stopped of course)

My twin cousins Mario and Michael… Santa and Mrs. Claus in the gift store. Then my cousins found the 3d glasses LOL! When you looked into the Christmas lights with the glasses on, the lights appeared to be different shapes and images, stars, snowmen, etc. Steeler love at Overly’s. They thought these glasses were the greatest things on earth. They managed to get their mom to buy them 3 different pair. A shot of the lights thru the 3d glasses. This one was “Christmas Lights” . The lights were just plain white lights. In the words of my cousins, ” Its SOOOO AWESOME!” The Grinch was sneaking around Santa’s barn. What Christmas is truly about… My Mom and I with my cousins :) Thanks Overly’s for our wonderful Christmas memories! See ya next year!
