This August a great thing opened up in Uniontown, Keno’s Hawaiian Shaved Ice. The ice became an obsession of a lot of Uniotown residents. In October, Keno closed the doors for the winter. This weekend Keno planned a ‘Midwinter’s Ice Dream’ event for all of his fans and friends who needed ice and needed it now! When Bekah, Danny and I stopped in on Friday, Keno set his camera on the counter and told me that it was for me to take some pictures with. Here are some of the shots I took of our ice in the making:

I know the focusing is off in this one but let me explain. I thought Keno had terribly bad eye site because when I was looking thru the cameras viewfinder everything was blurry. But instead the built-in diopter just needed adjusted. So I fixed it for him… see its a good thing he opened this weekend!

Bekah and I both got the wedding cake flavor, so our ices where not colorful.
Danny always mixes his flavors. This time he tried Cherry and Cola.
